Dramatist

Ingle writes works for performance in theatre, radio, and all kinds of screens.

He’s received dozens of awards including, most recently, the Richard Burton Playwriting Award and his second Premier's Book Award for Best Script.

Writer

He also writes and edits fiction, non-fiction and business documents.
He gives readability to dry, dull corporate prose and has a demonstrated capacity to adapt his writing style to the requirements of the brief.
He knows the powerful capacity of personal stories to demonstrate social issues and facilitate social change.
He wrote his PhD thesis on dramatic rhetoric and the emotions and he specialises in refining the emotional connections between a text and its audience.

Actor

He has performed in over 50 professional productions and appeared in films, TV and radio drama.

Director

Ingle has directed shows for Perth Theatre Co., Black Swan Theatre Co., and Red Desert Theatre Co., among others. He is often employed to direct university student productions and he recently wrote (with the students) and directed a new musical for Palmerston College, Darwin's Centre for Excellence in the Arts. He’s also collaborated on the creation of new work such as the contemporary opera "Giles, is that you?" broadcast on ABC FM’s Listening Room.
